Got Liposuction?

By Ricardo Gibson

There are certain types of fat that just will not go away. You can diet and exercise all you want, but they are just plain stubborn. Cellulite is one such problem. If you have had all you can take, liposuction might be your best option.

A bit of fat here and there should not bother us. Okay, why not go for some honesty. It can drive you mad. For women, it is the thigh area. For men, the love handles. Removing these pockets of fat can do a world of good for your mental outlook.

Liposuction can be applied to the arms, neck, hips, thighs, abs, face, buttocks, and back. Though liposuction will not completely change the look of your body, it will get rid of some of those last few pounds. If you are going to seek out this type of surgery, make sure to find a qualified surgeon.

Many doctors feel they can handle liposuction procedures even if they are not really plastic surgeons. As with any surgery, there are risks associated with liposuction. Do not risk it. Interview surgeons till you find a certified plastic surgeon that you like and is willing to work with you.

The actual procedure is surprisingly straightforward. An insertion is made in the skin in the impacted area. A tube is then inserted and the cellulite fat is sucked out of the area. This brunt force approach explains why it is a good way to deal with specific areas of cellulite.

The nature of liposuction is such that it causes trauma to the body. Even though we are talking about fat, it is a part of the body being removed. This can cause complications. Most are just bruising, but infection, embolisms and even toxic shock can occur in isolated cases.

Speak with your surgeon about possible complications prior to go through with this surgery. While it is wise to know about the many things that can arise from liposuction, you should also know that this surgery is usually highly successful. Still, it is up to you to weigh the risks and benefits.

Getting rid of fat deposits can be an absolute bear. With liposuction, it is not a problem. Isolated pockets of cellulite simply do not stand a chance. Within an hour of going into surgery, that cellulite will be history.

How about the recovery after liposuction surgery? You will feel great immediately! Actually, you will feel incredibly sore in the area operated on. This is what pain meds are for. The soreness will fade over a couple days and you will be cellulite free for the first time in a long time. - 15438
