Lose Excess Stomach Fat

By Jose Loni

Lose excess stomach fat that has accumulated in the stomach area. When we eat large amounts of food and don't use up or burn the calories, the food is converted into fat and stored in our abdomen. Especially, when we overeat, don't do very much physical activity and have a highly stressful life.

When we over eat, we consume excess calories that our bodies cannot consume and utilize as an energy source. The excess food that we don't use is turned into fat and stored in our stomach region.

Monitoring our food intake and consuming quality foods will help us balance our diet. Also, increasing the frequency of our meals throughout the day and decreasing the portion size will help us to maintain our energy level and stabilize our blood sugar levels.

Exercising is a key point in excess stomach fat. When we don't expend enough energy to burn the calories we consume, the excess fat will accumulate in the abdomen. Increasing our physical activity will allow our bodies to kick-start our metabolism, which results in burning the excess stomach fat.

By coordinating the two factors of increasing exercise activity and decreasing the amount of food we consume, our body not only burns the calories from the food we ate but also helps reduce the excess fat from our stomach.

Studies have shown that increased stress causes the release of a hormone called Cortisol, which has been linked to fat storage in the stomach region of the body.

When the body is under stress, it reacts by storing away fat to be able to use it as a fuel in case of emergency. It is the body's way of protecting itself and preparing for an emergency situation.

Reducing excess stomach fat can be achieved by, watching what we eat, how much we eat, increasing our exercise activity and lowering our levels of stress. When we can monitor and control how we react to stress, we are able to decrease the hormones that cause fat storage in the area of the stomach. By controlling these factors, we can reduce excess stomach fat. - 15438
