Looking for specific styles at local boot or shoe stores can be iffy. The shoes online offer the discount deals especially on the traditional sales holidays.

Local shoe store styles may lack a breadth of sizes and all the various style choice for a particular brand. Even the larger mall stores may suffer from spotty inventory selection. This is where shoes online stores excel. Huge inventories and complete brand selection is the rule.

When purchasing your new pair of shoes, look to see if the company has free shipping and especially free return shipping. Just in case the footwear doesn't fit, you don't want your low cost purchase gobbled up in extra shipping charges.

To spot fashion trends, look at the magazine ads and what men shoes or women boots the models are wearing. Look for ladies shoes that are advertised or worn in People or similar magazines that portray what Hollywood stars are presently wearing.

In women's shoe styles, purple seems to be a popular ruling color. Metallic high heels, gold pumps and flats are catching a popular pulse. Exotic animal prints and peep-toe cut outs are getting the fashion nod as well.

For women to cover their bases, they need to balance a mix of high heels with more comfortable shoes. Higher heeled shoes have been a source of ankle injury and falls are common. High heel overuse can result in orthopedic procedures, besides bunions and sore feet.
