Burn Fat Fast And Save Time With A Home Gym Workout

By Gina Gardi

You don't need to workout at a gym or even workout for a full hour to get in shape or stay fit. A 30 minute home gym workout several times a week can give you great results. So if your time is limited don't skip your workouts altogether, instead set up a simple home gym. Even a 15 minute workout is far better than not working out at all.

Machines and gym memberships are not necessary for getting in great shape. All you need are a few dumbbells, your own body weight and maybe a bench or stability ball, and you can get in excellent shape. You will save on membership fees, gas and best of all your time. When you're time is limited, working out at home can be much more convenient and efficient.

A home gym workout can eliminate all the distractions in the gym and allow you to focus on your exercises. Focus and concentration are key to a great workout. Quality is much more important than quantity. Use proper form for all exercises and every repetition. Stay focused by feeling your muscles contracting and lengthening throughout the movement. Working out with awareness will produce much better results and in less time than working out against time. Each movement will bring you closer to your goal.

Choose compound exercises for your home gym workout, instead of isolated exercises and you'll not only save time but you'll burn more calories. You work groups of muscles rather just one muscle per exercise. Most machines isolate just one muscle and can be time consuming. Free weights allow more flexibility and can be used to perform many compound exercises. Free weights also require more balance and coordination and recruit more muscles than resistance machines.

Some great examples of compound exercises include bench press, squats, push-ups, rows, lunges, pull-ups, and step ups. These exercises all require more than one joint movement and recruit many muscles to complete the movement. They require more energy, build strength, and burn more calories in less time.

Reduce your rest time between multiple sets by performing your workouts as a circuit training session. Do one set of each exercise with little or no rest in between. Then rest for one minute and repeat the second set and then the third set. This can save you a lot of time and will also work your cardiovascular system as well.

When your time is limited, don't sacrifice you health by skipping your workouts altogether. One of the best ways to make it convenient and less time consuming, is by setting up a home gym. The choice to make time for getting in shape and staying fit will make you feel better about yourself. - 15438
