Best way to lose weight

By Guy Mcgee

An active lifestyle is the key in helping adults and children maintain a healthy weight and good health. Office workers, new parents, retired people and children can make exercise a part of their daily life style and get in shape quite easily. When it comes to physical activity, every little bit helps.

For the activity to count towards your 30 minutes, it should make you feel slightly out of breath and warm. These tiny bits can make you look like much better and much younger than you can imagine.

While everyone loves to blame genes for their weight problems, this is a myth. In the majority of cases, weight gain is simply eating too much and walking too little. To be slim and trim, one needs to eat healthy (with less fat) and start an exercise program. The only magical cure to weight loss is eating less.

What are warm up exercises?- Perform low-impact aerobic moves for 5-10 minutes after a warm up and before beginning the workout. The best pre-stretch warm up is a five minute, low-impact march on the spot. Take a quick walk around your residential place or dance to your favorite tunes. The aim is to raise your core body temperature.

It is good to include some aerobic workouts in the mix, low intensity exercise can actually strengthen the body as well. Walking, swimming and cycling- are all great ways to do this. Set a pair of 5- to 12-pound dumbbells (depending on your strength and experience) near a treadmill. Warm up on the machine with a five-minute brisk walk. After that, Take the dumbbells and perform 20 lateral lifts.

The aim of all weight loss programs is to help you lose weight. However, many of these programs are unsupervised and you are left on your own. Thus, you may do some exercises but actually never reach the targeted level which can help you burn of the excess calories.

The right kind of programme assists any weight loss programme, not only does it relieves stress and helps prevent depression; it also corrects imbalances in blood sugar and insulin. It also helps inhibit fat. Unfortunately, many dieting women attack their bodies with such a fury of exercise that prolactin, serotonin and other important hormones go into the stress mode. All you need is about 30 minutes of exercise per day. If you can do more, gradually build up to a higher level. A weight loss programme doesn't recommend high-intensity exercise. - 15438
