What is the Right Wrinkle Treatment for You?

By A Hannifudin

As human beings, aging is inevitable. All of us tend to grow old and age constantly as the years pass by. As the skin is exposed daily in the direct sunlight, pollutions, and chemicals, the wrinkles also become visible in our skin, especially on our face and neck.

The immediate reaction of most of us is to apply the best wrinkle treatment available today. To bring back the moisture and tightness of the skin, some undergo facelift or surgery treatment while others use facial creams and anti-aging solutions. The availability of the wrinkle treatments is high but finding the right treatment for your wrinkle is another thing.

The texture and the fineness of the skin change as it gets older. This is because the dead skin cells are not removed from the skin and may block the new skin from coming out. The longer the dead skin cells stay on the skin, the older the skin appears. Skin needs to be rejuvenated in order to make the skin looks improved and young again. Wrinkle treatments can do the work of eliminating the excess fats and sagging of the skin that makes your skin look older.

Several Wrinkle Treatments are:

1) Laser treatment or laser resurfacing is a kind of treatment for wrinkles caused by facial expressions and skin folds which are also called the dynamic wrinkles. It can also treat moderate wrinkles, age spots, uneven skin tones, sun-damaged skin, and acne or chickenpox scars.

Treating the wrinkles with laser treatment does not mean the skin will not accumulate wrinkles again. After the wrinkles have been removed with laser, the wrinkles will come back because it is normal for people to make facial expressions that cause facial lines and folds. Laser treatments are still required in the near future to remove wrinkles again.

The primary objective of the laser treatment is to take away the skin cells that have been damaged, either by sunlight, pollution, or chemicals usually found in make-ups, creams, and cosmetic products. But the treatment will not ensure that the wrinkles will be totally removed forever; it still has the possibility to come back which means another treatment is needed. To avoid frequent treatment, lessen the exposure to sunlight and other chemicals.

2) Facelift is also a kind of treatment for wrinkles. It is a surgical procedure done to remove excess fatty tissues and to tighten facial muscles. The procedure is painful so it requires anesthesia to lessen the pains. This is done by separating the skin from the tissue. The fats are removed and the skin is pulled back to tighten it and to produce younger looking skin without the trace of time. Like laser treatment, facelift is also temporary. It requires another procedure after a certain period of time.

3) Besides these, there are lots of other wrinkle treatments that are being used a lot. Some people with dynamic or facial movement wrinkles also take Botox and Collagen injections. These injections fill the wrinkles and make the skin tight. This is also not a permanent solution and needs multiple treatment after short durations of three to six months. Some chemical peels like Dermabrasion and Themage are also commonly used to treat these wrinkles. - 15438
