Eat More For A Faster Metabolic Rate

By Jennifer King

Your first step to losing weight is acknowledging the fact that you do need and want to lose weight. When your weight is of concern to you, the emotional and physical toll it takes on you can be very stressful.

Some people find it hard to get their head around the fact that eating more often will help them to lose weight. This is the opposite to what most people on a diet first think as they will first try and cut down on the amount of calories they consume . Eating less will end your weight loss before it has even started even if you don't realize it at the time.

If you want to put your body in a state of starvation then go ahead and eat less. Eating less also means your body will not have the energy it requires to do all the things you need to do throughout the day. Your body will also store as much fat as possible, which will thwart your weight loss attempts. You should also know that once you begin to keep yourself from eating you will have a greater food craving than if you were to just eat sensibly.

The aim of a diet is to stay fit and healthy and feel good. Dieting and eating less causes the human body to start using its self defense mechanisms to try its hardest to maintain your health. Once you stop eating enough everyday these self defense mechanisms kick in Among the most developed of our body's defense mechanisms is its reaction to the perception of starvation.

Your body will begin to think that it is starving if you choose not to eat enough or if you wait for long periods of time between meals. Your body can only give a negative reaction to this as it is in no way a healthy thing to do. You will slow down your metabolism making it harder to burn the fat you are trying to lose. A successful weight loss plan needs a fast metabolic rate.

Eating less causes your body to lose muscle mass rather than fat. The muscles in your body will suffer and have problems with typical daily activities if you have a diet that is low in protein. The loss of lean muscle also causes your metabolic rate to diminish even further. And this will reduce the rate in which your body can burn fat.

If you intend to burn fat then you have to make sure that you speed up your metabolism, and the best way to speed up your metabolic rate is to eat every 2 to 3 hours. Once you get everything right your new body will get to you sooner than you think. - 15438
