Healthy Weight Loss for a Wedding, Do's and Dont's

By Ricardo d Argence

For many people a wedding is going to be one of the best times in their lives, they are going to be happy, and they are going to enjoy each and every moment of it. Yet some people stress, trying to make sure that they have all of the details right, and that they can fit into those perfectly tailored clothes.

Looking good on your wedding day is important, and everyone wants to fit into their dress before the big event. It's right to want to be healthy for your wedding, and getting healthier can take away some of your stress. There are some do not do things when it comes to wedding weight loss, as well as the must do things.

Be realistic in your weightloss goals - try to lose too much, and you'll only succeed in getting stressed out before your wedding. Set realistic goals for your diet, don't try to lose more weight than is healthy in the time you have available. Discuss your weight with your doctor and tell him or her what weight you would like to be, as well as the date of your upcoming wedding. Setting a reasonable goal with the help of your doctor, you can reach it.

If your wedding is in a few weeks, try not to stare yourself in order to loose weight. A lot of people think starving themselves might relieve some stress, but they are gravely mistaken as it will just add to the stress they already have. You'll be crabby and worse, you'll be unhealthy. This makes you susceptible to illness, and you definitely don't want to get sick for your wedding.

Try to be consistent in your portions - you shouldn't overeat, nor should you undereat. Stay the course by eating regular portioned meals and try to divert your nervousness into positive energy you can use to exercise.

Exercising has an important role in getting in shape for a wedding. You probably already have all of that nervous energy, so put it to good use and keep moving. Engaging in a workout with a spouse could be a wonderful way for the two of you to continue doing activities together, and if you take something such as ballroom dancing classes, you will get into better shape and will also do something that is productive for your wedding too.

Find balance with your food. Even though you may be committed to eating healthily and losing weight, you should still take the opportunity to taste cakes when auditioning a wedding cake baker. Enjoy those snacks at your bridal parties, and have those drinks with your girlfriends as you do your last night out. Your health and happiness are paramount to being a terrific bride. - 15438
