The Best Wrinkle Cream Points

By Jen Hopkins

What are the points for the best wrinkle cream? Unlike other products that are considered to be drugs, there are no FDA research results for wrinkle creams. Creams and lotions are considered to be cosmetics. Cosmetics do not undergo as much testing and research, therefore, effectiveness will be based purely on consumer reports.

Unless the wrinkle cream is proven to contain ingredients that are potentially dangerous to its consumers, the FDA will continue to stay out of its league. When the judgment is left to you, what points do you look for to identify if it is the best, or if there is another wrinkle cream for you out there?

So to set a system, what factors should we look for in identifying the best wrinkle or eye cream for our skin? Here are points that could help with your search for youthful and supple skin:

Not too expensive: Just because the eye cream is the most expensive in the market, it is not the guarantee of effectiveness. There are numerous averagely priced wrinkle creams in the market that are as, or more effective, for almost half the price.

Dose: For active ingredients, more doesn't always mean better. If you have very sensitive skin, then you may consider non prescription wrinkle creams since they have less ingredients. If you have no problems with those ingredients, and suffer from more problems, then go and get your prescription wrinkle cream.

Research: Research on wrinkle creams are most commonly done by the companies themselves, this makes them not very objective and a little bias. If you are looking for research results, it is better to refer to results from individual bodies on individual anti aging ingredients. They are more credible, and would be more helpful for you.

Regular Use: Wrinkle eye creams and other anti aging creams should be used regularly, around once or twice a day before any improvements are noticed. Discontinuing use will obviously cease the effects, and will cause the skin to return to its original appearance.

Adverse effects: Some people are allergic to certain ingredients in creams, so always look at whatever your cream is made of. If there are some chemicals you are not familiar with, try to test it on the inside portion of your arm. If you notice any redness, itch, or other types or irritation, stop the use before the side effects worsen. - 15438
