As an added bonus, retinol also smoothes out irregular textures and lines.

- Vitamins C and E. These vitamins work whether you prefer to take it orally or apply it topically. These vitamins are certified antioxidants as they target damaging free radicals. Many of these antioxidants are combined with corticosteroids, the latter are anti-inflammatory substances that effectively calms skin swelling. So go grab one of these combination formulated creams to hit two birds with one stone!

Panic disorder is a medical term used to describe the psychiatric condition that is characterized by frequent or habitual panic attacks in combination with significant behavioral changes, of at least a month of continuing and enduring worrying about the concern and fear of having another panic attack.

Let's have a look at the attack itself. Since panic disorder describes frequent panic attacks, then you should know what a panic attack is. A panic attack is a sudden episode of intense anxiety that brings about feelings of fear, unease and discomfort. Its onset is generally abrupt, and could occur without any obvious triggers.

Fear of the Fear - Mentally, the individual experiences strong and/or frightening realizations of reality, loss of cognitive ability, loud internal dialogue, racing thoughts, obsessive worrying, nervousness and the overwhelming fear that something terrible is about to occur. Also, the person feels like he is "going crazy", facing impending doom, and out of control. He feels anti-social and feels like he is being threatened by something, although there is nothing threatening around him. The sufferer also has feelings of death and dying.

There are, of course more signs and symptoms. Keep in mind that these sensations, as terrible and uncomfortable as they are, will pass. A panic attack is not medically dangerous, and is instead physically harmless. However, if you want to get rid of these sensations, then you have many options of treatment nowadays. All About Acid Reflux In Infant

By Richal Peyton

Acid reflux in infant is actually a common problem. This article will talk about the basic things you need to know about acid reflux in babies. Get to know just how many babies are affected by acid reflux, why they get it, and how the condition progresses if left untreated.

What Are The Statistics?

Statistics on acid reflux in infant show that more than 50 percent of all infants have acid reflux during the first 2 to 3 months of life. Most of the time, infants experience the condition after feeding. In other cases however, an infant may experience reflux while crying, straining, or coughing.

Babies or infants with acid reflux are not necessarily irritated or unhappy. In fact, many infants who have acid reflux are healthy and happy. Almost all infants will no longer have acid reflux after 12 to 18 months. However, there are a few who may continue to show signs and symptoms of acid reflux after 18 months and so may require medical attention.

Why Do Infants Get Acid Reflux?

The condition is often a natural occurrence. Our body will sometimes produce more acid in the stomach than needed, and this can be caused by several reasons. For instance, when we eat considerably more than usual in one sitting, our body will try to process the large amount of food we just consumed by secreting more acid. Acid may therefore build up in the stomach and cause us to regurgitate. Since babies tend to be lying down most of the time or fall asleep after feeding, some acid may end up in the esophagus.

What Happens If The Condition Isn't Treated?

The similarity between acid reflux in infant and in an adult is that, in both cases, the condition can worsen if left untreated. Acid reflux can continue to progress especially in infants that experience reflux after 18 months. Constant spitting and coughing often characterize common symptoms of infant acid reflux. Sometimes, your baby may also vomit, feed poorly and become irritated.

Left untreated, accumulation of acid in the stomach may become so bad that he or she will start to develop more serious complications. Since acid reflux involves the acid and enzymes in the stomach and travels up to the esophagus, the areas around those parts of the body can also be negatively affected.

One symptom is that your baby may start having breathing problems because acid can travel to the esophagus and affect the areas around it such as the breast area. Furthermore, your baby may have a bloody stool and experience blood loss due to poor digestive function. A lot of pain can be caused from infant acid reflux, and your baby may continuously show signs of irritability and develop poorly (mainly because of poor feeding).

With acid reflux, your baby may keep spitting up and you may be unable to feed him or her well. Many new parents actually experience this during the first few months of caring for their child. Now that you're more familiar with acid reflux in infant, observe if your baby is experiencing any of the symptoms mentioned earlier and have him or her diagnosed by a doctor. - 15438

Are you, or have you ever been, a hardgainer?

By Jon Cardozo

If you've spent some considerable time trying to build a more muscular appearance but haven't had much success, you may be tempted to label yourself as a hardgainer. You may have even been given this title by your friends in the gym. Is there really such thing as a hardgainer?

Listen, people have been arguing about the role of genetics for a long time, and scientists are still trying to figure it out. I think it's safe to say, however, that your genes are not the whole story. Even if you're at a disadvantage, you can still make a for it if you have a mind to.

Sure, some people are born with an advantage for muscle building. It's just like music, sports, mathematics, and just about any career or industry you can think of. Some people have a natural ability in that field, while others have to work hard to become good at it. The truth is that everyone has to work hard regardless of innate ability or talent.

I'm not saying that taking on a weightlifting or muscle building program is going to be a piece of cake for you. It may actually be more difficult for you than for some other people.

If you can forget about the guys that seem to make progress without any effort, you can focus on your own training program and make impressive progress. Besides, those guys may not have it as easy as they would have you believe.

Perhaps more importantly, you'll need to change your attitude towards your ability to build muscle. Believe it or not, your way of thinking can dramatically influence your results in the gym. If you enter a weightlifting program with the idea that you're not going to succeed, you've already limited your results from the very beginning.

Every obstacle will seem greater until it appears to be insurmountable. You will stop looking for creative ways to solve the problems because you've already told yourself that it can't be done. So what's the solution? First, drop the title of hardgainer.

A positive mental attitude and a commitment means that you've won more than half the battle, but you still have to have the right knowledge to succeed. Make sure to learn from a proven bodybuilder who knows what it takes to succeed. - 15438

Is Wu Long or Wu Yi Tea YOUR Fountain of Youth?

By Caitlin Ryan

Did you know that merely drinking a few delicious mugs of tea per day can boost the quality of your skin and fight premature aging? Wu yi tea has been drunk for centuries in the Asian world and thankfully, it is finally catching on in the Western world. Its age-fighting capabilities are remarkable! It may be YOUR answer to maintaining youthful skin!

Though both wu long and wu yi tea have become popular for both weight loss and age fighting, some proponents would have you believe that one is better than the other. Is this true? Let us look at the background on both teas.

All tea comes from the plant Camellia sinensis, but the time that the leaves are picked and then the way in which the tea is fermented determines the tea variety. Black tea, green tea, white tea and oolong tea are the four main varieties of tea.

Unfermented teas are green tea and white tea. White tealeaves are harvested before the bud opens making it a bit milder than green tea, but both teas are relatively grassy tasting and a bit bitter. The tea we are most familiar with is black tea which is flavorful, but the leaves are highly fermented and thus, not as nutritious as green tea or white tea.

Oolong seems to be the answer to this dilemma. You do not have to sacrifice flavor or age-fighting capability with oolong tea because it is fermented for a short time to produce a better flavor and aroma, but not long enough to destroy its nutritional value. Both wu long and wu yi teas are oolong teas, but wu long is harvested during the first plant cycle.

Tea connoisseurs tend to believe that because of this, wu long tea is of higher quality and it is usually priced higher than wu yi tea. Wu yi tea, though, has the same health benefits and is just as capable of fighting aging as wu long tea. It is usually less expensive, and the flavor and aroma differences are so subtle that I personally feel that it is not worth the extra dollars to buy wu long tea versus wu yi tea. Both teas will help me maintain my youthful skin!

Tea can be compared to wine in this manner. Though there are some lovely wines available for $50 or more a bottle, if you can purchase a $20 bottle of Shiraz that is quite enjoyable, why spend $50? At the same time, you probably would not find the same enjoyment with a bottle of Shiraz that cost $5, right? For this reason, you probably will not find a lot of wu yi tea on the supermarket shelves next to the economy packs of black tea!

Oolong tea, whether it is wu yi or wu long, contains powerful antioxidants that fight free radical damage and thus help slow down the process of aging. The signs of aging can be seen in your face when free radicals take their toll on skin health at the cellular level. Collagen breaks down and soon, fine lines begin to appear as well as sagging, fragile skin. Wu yi tea can reverse this and help create more youthful, glowing skin!

Wu yi tea is also important for the regeneration of skin cells. Enjoying a mug of wu yi tea can calm your body. - 15438
